Excellent Legal Representation Available in Your Community

When a legal problem drives you to seek a lawyer's advice and representation, the attorney's knowledge of local rules and procedures is just as important as his or her general legal experience and record of success. At Galloway Monzo, P.C., you will deal only with a very experienced lawyer.

We regularly practice in our local county courts — including the criminal and civil courts of Westmoreland County, Indiana County, Armstrong County, Cambria County, Fayette County, Allegheny County, Washington County and Somerset County. We have a deep familiarity with the local rules and members of the legal community that attorneys from outside the area may not possess.

Our goal is to provide the same high level of legal representation available in "the big city" and to give our clients the additional benefit of working with attorneys who are deeply involved in the local community — all in a welcoming, family environment.

Generations of Excellence

Having practiced for more than four decades, Richard H. Galloway's honors include being inducted as a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, being recognized by his peers as one of the Best Lawyers in America and as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer, being selected as one of the top 50 attorneys in Pittsburgh and previously serving as the President of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the legal education arm of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

Lisa Galloway Monzo and Jeffrey D. Monzo have each practiced law for more than 20 years. After devoting more than a decade to independent development of their legal skills and identities and being recognized by their peers, Jeff as a "Rising Star" in Pennsylvania and Lisa as "Outstanding Young Lawyer" in Westmoreland County, Dick, Lisa and Jeff decided the time had come to join together in a united law practice.

In 2011, Dennis N. Persin, a 35-year veteran of legal practice who has been recognized for his excellence in workers' compensation and Social Security Disability, joined Galloway Monzo. P.C. Dennis has handled in excess of 1,000 workers' compensation claims in the past 35 years on both the claimant and defense sides. Dennis currently represents Westmoreland County for defense of workers' compensation claims. In 2012, he was named Pro Bono Attorney of the Year by the Westmoreland Bar Association.

Nancy L. Harris also joined the firm in 2011 and focuses her practice on estate planning, estate administration, business transactions and real estate. Prior to attending law school, Nancy spent 25 years as a civilian contractor to the United States Department of Energy, supporting research for the United States Nuclear Navy. She holds a master's degree in radiation health and was previously a diplomat of the American Board of Health Physics. In 1992, she became the first woman manager ever appointed to the executive level at the facility, with overall responsibility for radiological, industrial and environmental compliance for over 1,200 employees.

"My father excels in his litigation skills and his empathetic relationships with his clients. His vision for how lawyers should perform has been passed down to Jeff and me. We are following in his footsteps and we are well progressed along that path." — Lisa Galloway Monzo

Victor G. Myers, who joined the firm in January, 2015, is a Western Pennsylvania native, who returned to Westmoreland County after completing his college and law school education. Since joining the firm, he has litigated jury and nonjury trials in civil and criminal matters in multiple counties.

Allison E. Thiel, managing attorney of the Ligonier office, joined the firm in January, 2016, after serving as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable John J. Driscoll for five years in the family court division. Allison practices in the areas of family, juvenile and criminal law. She was also named as "Outstanding Young Lawyer" by the members of the Westmoreland County Bar Association in 2015.
